May Wrap Up

Hey guys, I know this is late but better late than never, right? May has been a hectic month for me in terms of school and June is going to be worse. My stress levels have reached a point where I can’t even feel anymore.

Any who, despite the busy month, I was able to read some amazing books. And here is what I read in May:

Everything Leads To You by Nina LaCour – 5/5 stars

The Color Project by Sierra Abrams – 5/5 stars

The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokski – 4/5 stars

Freedom Swimmer by Way Chim – 4/5 stars

I know this seems very little to most of you, but it’s great for me because I had been very busy and rarely had time to sit down and devour a book.

Along with reading, I also accumulated a few books in May. I won Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman from Little Book Owl‘s Twitter giveaway, so thank you so much Catriona! I pre-ordered the ACOWAR box from the YA Chronicles (which came in time of the release date which I’m thankful for) and so also have A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas. After enjoying Not Your Sidekick so much, I caved and bought Seven Tears At High Tide by C. B. Lee and I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

Besides books, I also received other bookish goodies. I bought my first Book Sac and am obsessed. I bring it everywhere with me and carry not only my current read but also my notepad/checklist of things to do. It’s so convenient and I’m very happy about the quality. You should all check that out.

Alongside that, I also received my Book Coyote Designs order which I am in love with. And I also received some bookish goodies from the lovely Becky Albertalli. I adore the stickers of Simon and Mollie so much.

I was also a co-host for Asian Lit Bingo and really enjoyed that! All the books everyone read, and the recommendations received have me excited for my future readings. Although I didn’t get to complete a bingo, I still had fun and that’s what most important.

I’ve also had many opportunities open for me, blogging wise which I will share soon. So stay tuned on my social media!

If you want to see an unboxing of the YA Chronicles box, comment below. I’m not sure if I should and I’ve never down a post like that either.

  1. As a student, I completely understand your stress. Don’t worry about reading X amount of books each month, just do what you can! I’m excited to read Everything Leads To You, and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I’m new to blogging and book reviewing, and I was wondering if you had any tips for newbie bloggers and book reviewers.

If you have the time, please check out my blog @breenysbooks. I’d love any feedback. Have a wonderful day.

    1. haha yes, I’m trying to not stress about reading now. And hopefully you enjoy Everything Leads To You too!

Welcome to the blogosphere! Some quick tips I have would be: post consistently, even if it’s just once a week. Comment on blogs (which I haven’t done in ages because of these exams *rolls eyes*) because this allows you to interact with other bloggers too. And be yourself! No one wants to read something from a fake version of you (I hope that didn’t sound mean, it wasn’t meant to be)

I’d love to check out you blog, maybe just remind me again if I haven’t commented anything on it because I either forgot or am busy and haven’t opened my laptop
