Hello friends! I honestly can’t believe how quickly the days are passing by. It only feels like yesterday when I wrote my January Wrap Up post. February was a pretty busy school month for me, and I wasn’t able to read many books. But because of this, I was able to listen to some audiobooks, and I’m slowly liking them and actually comprehending the story.
I read books this month, and they were mostly meh. So it wasn’t the best reading month for me, and I’m sad I wasn’t able to discover any new favourites this month. So here are the books I read and my ratings:
↣ Words In Deep Blue by Cath Crowley ★★★★✩ (actual rating: 3.75 stars)
↣ Half Wild by Sally Green ★★★✩✩
↣ Cinder by Marissa Meyer ★★★✩✩ (reread)
↣ Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince by J. K. Rowling ★✩✩✩✩ (actual rating: 1.5 stars, please don’t kill me: I just hated everything and couldn’t love the story or characters)
↣ Wintersong by S. Jae. Jones ★★★★✩ (actual rating: 3.75 stars)
↣ More Than This by Patrick Ness ★★★★✩
↣ Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi ★★★★✩
↣ The Iron Trials by Cassandra Clare & Holly Black ★★✩✩✩ (actual rating: 2.5 stars)
Despite my trying not to buy too many books this month, I still accumulated some, but I’m excited for the ones I bought so it’s okay. I received the special edition of Simon VS The Homo sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli this month, and I LOVE the Blue & Simon first emails that were included! I want moreee!
I also bought The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert and Love, Hate & Other Filters by Samira Ahmed, both of which are anticipated releases for me (yes I’m late to getting them, but I haven’t gone physical book shopping in a while.)
Hachette Australia was also generous enough to send me a copy of Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer. I’m not sure if I’ll be reading that anytime soon, because it’s an adult book, and those take me a while to read, so yeah.
Last Sunday, I also went into the city with Anisha, from Sprinkled Pages (go check out her youtube channel!!), to see Black Panther (which I enjoyed; I want to watch all the Marvel Movies now haha) and I went to the YA Room Book Talk on Love, Hate & Other Filters. Both of these. “events” were fun and I’m glad I got to spend some time with my parabatai ❤
Overall, it was a good month and I’m pretty surprised that I was able to read more than one book haha. Here’s hoping March will be a good month to me, and to you too ❤
