Book Cover Wars

Hello, hello! I hope you are all doing well. I’ve seen this type of post around and thought I’d do it too. (tbh, I was going to do this in Feb-Mar, but didn’t get round to typing this up until now. hehe oops). Anyways, I’ll be showing you a couple of book covers that have different covers, and I’ll be telling you which one I like more. Self-explanatory, right?

I’ll also be doing the covers of 6 books I’ve read, so without further ado, here is my post:

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: I love both covers, but I’m going to have to go with the UK/AUS cover because the colour scheme is more to my liking (and the spine is a pretty pink!)

A Darker Shade Of Magic by V.E. Schwab: I love the UK/AUS cover because all four Londons are represented on the cover, and the colour scheme is just appealing.

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff: I’m also going to say that I prefer the UK/AUS because it’s I love the shadow bird, and how the three moons are depicted on the cover, spine and the back cover. Though I appreciate the beauty of the US cover too.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell: I love the colour scheme of the UK/AUS cover and it’s more meaningful to the story. I also love how dark it is and the dragon on the cover is related to the story, so yeah.

Under Rose Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall: I definitely prefer the US cover for this one! The pink skies is gorgeous, and goes with the title. I just find the US cover more aesthetically pleasing than the UK one, and the pink doesn’t hurt the eyes (the UK cover is too vibrant)

And that’s all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed this post, even though most of my preferred covers seem to be UK/AUS covers. There are heaps more covers where I prefer the US one though so I’m not biased or anything, haha.
