BOOKS I WANTED TO READ BUT DIDN’T IN 2018

Due to 2018 being a busy year, I did not get to read all the books I wanted to. Especially some of the new releases that I’ve been super excited for. So in today’s post I will be sharing with you the 6 books that I missed out on reading in 2018.

Girls of Paper And Fire by Natasha Ngan: I received this review copy from Hachette, and was super excited to read it, but I fell into a reading slump at the end of last year so didn’t get to read it.

Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco: I was really excited for the release of this third book, because I loved the first two books but never got around to reading it as I received it as a birthday present and I was in a slump around that time.

Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman: I adored Akemi’s writing in her debut Starfish, and was excited when I received an ARC copy from Shenwei (who is an amazing human being and you should go follow and support them if you’re not already). I’ll definitely be reading it this year though (fingers crossed)

The Lady’s Guide To Petticoats And Piracy by Mackenzie Lee: This is another sequel that I was excited for but never got around to because of my reading slump. Can we see a pattern here? My reading slump prevented me from reading the books I wanted to 😦 but it also was a hefty book, and I wasn’t committed to reading a big book during my exam season.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare: I really wanted to start this series so that I could binge the entire series when Queen of Air And Darkness came out in December, but that never ended up happening ahaha because of my slump.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi: When I heard about this book, I was excited because it sounded intriguing and full of adventure. But alas, I never got around to reading it BUT I shall endeavour to read it this year, I promise.

Let's talk

What books did you want to read in 2018 but didn’t end up getting to? Have you read any of the books that are on my list?
