8 OF MY FAVOURITE BOOKS THAT I STILL NEED TO BUY -> WHY AM I LIKE THIS?

Hi friends! So those who know me well, will know that I use my local library often (even though I have more than enough books on my TBR). So I’ll discover favourites from the library or read them as an ebook, but then it’ll take me a long time for me to actually purchase the book and support the author because I’m still a student with a very low income, and also I don’t have the space for it *cries*.

Anyways, here are 8 AMAZING books that I have yet to buy (but I will in the future!) and that you should add to your TBR if you haven’t already!

Everything Leads To You by Nina LaCour: I borrowed this book from one of my friends and ended up LOVING IT so much! I really need to get a copy force all my friends to read it hehe.

The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi: I borrowed this lovely book from my best friend and parabatai, Anisha from @ Sprinkled Pages and adored the book. I love mythology retellings and this story was everything. It made me fall in love with Roshani Chokshi’s writing, and I have yet to buy any of her books *cries* Why am I like this? No one will ever know.

The Bear and The Nightingale by Katherine Arden: I borrowed this lovely book from my library and I’m like 50% sure I buddy-read this with Anisha but it’s been a while so I don’t really remember haha. But I loved the world, the characters and the plot. I’m planning to actually buy this one soon so I can reread it and continue with the trilogy.

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman: I honestly can’t stop gushing about this book. It was one of my favourite reads of 2018, and since I read an e-arc of it, I don’t have a physical copy yet. But guess who has it on their to-buy list in 2019? Hehe, yes I’ve created a list and this is a book I’d like to own so I could reread soon!

The Epic Crush Of Genie Lo by F. C. Yee: I actually haven’t talked about this book much since I last reviewed it (which you can find here) but I LOVED this book. AND THE SEQUEL IS COMING THIS FALL (I believe, according to Goodreads) and I’m VERY excited! I really do need to buy this book and also make all my friends read it because I’m certain they’ll adore it too.

Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi: I LOVE Tahereh Mafi’s writing and Restore Me is no exception. Okay I have a very valid reason as to not buying this book yet. I own the paperback versions of the first three books, and the paperback of Restore Me isn’t pretty so I’m still deciding if I want to buy the hardcover or to just get the paperback.

Reign of Mist by Helen Scheuerer: I love this fantasy series and I recently hauled Heart of Mist, which is the first book. So I’m slowly collecting the series, okay? But Helen Scheuerer was kind enough to send me the first two books in the series to read and review in 2017 & 2018, hence why I don’t own it. BUT I PROMISE I’LL BUY THE REST OF THE TRILOGY OKAY?

Let's talk

So that’s the 8 books that I really want to buy soon and to support the authors as I loved these books. Of course I love supporting my library because it has such a large selection of books that allow me to read more than I would be able to if I only read bought books. What are some books you love but don’t own? Are any of these books your favourites too?

  1. If I borrow a book from the library, I review it. If I borrow a book, I’m not going to buy it. There are other ways to support authors other than buying their books, even borrowing them from the library and reviewing them is supporting authors.
