January has been a good month in terms of reading and buying books. It was also a time where I got to see many of my bookish friends again and meet new ones, which was fun. The YA Room had an inauguration picnic where we snacked on delicious sweets, swapped books and talked about books and life outside of the bookish community. Thank you to Sarah and Alex for hosting this. It was sad that some couldn’t make it, but hopefully we have another meet up where everyone will be present.
I also attended the Penguin Teen Showcase which was fun! We all received a not-so-mysterious black box from them (most of us spoiled ourselves by seeing the Sydney people unbox it. I also bought Valentine by Jodi McAllister, breaking my ban of not buying books. Oops, I’m very bad at this.
I read 17 books in January. So here are the books I read in January. Most of these are library books and I have returned them, which is why there is no photo for this.

What a good month you had! I also ended up buying a couple of ebooks this month – like only a couple of dollars worth – which is a surprise for me. I did pay for shipping for another book, but that’s it.
I think I read the same amount of books as you. Frostbood had to be my favourite last month – it was just too good haha.
Thanks for the post!
